This monitor is a great monitor. The only two complaints I have are; it does not stay clipped on to you in my experiences and also I have hd trouble getting them to turn on before. Having to continuious click it on and off until final it would turn on. It doesn't happen all of the time though. Besides those issues, it works great. You can literally hear them breathing through it.

First review here at walmart. After reading the comments posted I had to give a different opinion. My wife and I got this as a shower gift and we registered for it due to the low cost. Anyway, we have used it for five months and have had no issues with it. Yes, static does come through the monitor sometimes. We just change the placement in the room ( this step was stated in the instructions) and/or switch the channel. A little am radio comes in over it also, but this is cool with us. Kind of weird at first but no problem. Overall, this set does just what we need it to do. Alerts us when out child wakes and does a good job at it. If you want something perfect then spend more money.

we got this as a gift for our baby shower, and when it works, it's a good monitor. However, it picks up so much static, it's almost impossible to use most of the time. Any shift in power in our house (like an a/c turning on, a tv, a cell phone ringing, etc) or even from a neighbor's house makes the static go crazy and sometimes it lasts for 2-3 days. So it's largely unusable...the static is so loud, you can't hear a thing on the baby's end. Definitely not worth the money!

This monitor saved my family's life. We had a fire in the apartment next door and because this monitor is so sensitive I was able to hear the crackle of the fire outside and it woke me up. Thankfully our family is okay and the fact that I woke up it saved the lives of 10 other families. Buy this monitor!! I plan on buting a new one to replace the one we lost.

We bought this monitor a few months ago. It was ok at first, it picked up just a little bit of static, but over the last few weeks it has gotten increasingly worse. It was so bad the last few days that I couldn't use it and had to sleep in my son's room to make sure I would hear him when he woke up. It picks up static now from everything. If I try to move it away from all our electronics, it still doesn't help. It will react very loudly even if I move a cord that's 3 feet away from it. I'm definately going to have to go out and buy something else now cuz I can't keep sleeping on my son's floor!
