Fiskars Rotary Trimmer: 12 inches

I bought this trimmer about a year ago. I'm making this post March 2024. I have been so frustrated with this trimmer because from the very onset the measurements between 5 1/2 and 6 inches are absolutely Nonexistent. You cannot read any measurements between 5 1/2 and 6 inches. it's where the cutters folds in half and they've made no indications to where all the incremental stages are in between there. on top of it. I have been making many albums for this past year using this to cut my Cardstock using a different Fisker trimmer to trim my Paper and only finally after a year I stumble across why I've been off an eighth of an inch and it's this big rotary trimmer. I'm irritated my Fisker blade trimmer, my Tim Holtz ruler and then a long metal ruler all measured 9 5/8 inches correctly except this rotary trimmer did not. i It is off by an eighth of an inch, and that matters when you're making mini albums or scrapbook pages . if I hadn't spent so much money on it I toss it .

My plastic paper stablizer broke. I asked for a new one on thee page for broken items over 2 weeks ago. I don't even know if my request reached Fiskars - a quick email saying it was received would be niice so I know if the part is coming. I'm really disappointed.

I bought this trimmer to cut A3 sheets of thick paper down to size. I want to be able to cut it into A sizes, and unfortunately that meant I ran into a problem cutting to A5 - the ruler is not marked over the fold! Instead it is just clear plastic. I also found the clear paper holder made it difficult to see as it doesn't exactly line up with the edge of the cutter. The cuts themselves are smooth and easy. I think I'll be able to use it, so long as I manually mark all my measurements beforehand. I might mark on the A sizes with permanent marker to speed things up. The rotary cutter is really comfortable and requires little force to push, so I will be able to use it for lengthy jobs.
