The Fitness Quest Edge 1400 Elliptical that I purchased has been exactly what I was looking for. It was easy to put together, even alone. The motion when your on the machine is smooth and it offers good resistance and the programs keep the workout varied. I am very happy with this product.

This elliptical is completely sturdy once you level it with the self levelers. This product has great range of motion and natural feel when in motion compared to other models in it's price range. I am 5'8" and find the 21" stride setting perfect. Friends under 5'3" prefered the 17" stride setting. The resistance settings are great. I am fairly athletic and start with the resistance at ten out of sixteen, move it up to sixteen through my workout and then down to level six or seven for my cooldown. Once i learned to use the consol i found that it's functions are more complex than others in it's range allowing the user to chart progress well. An example is the recovery pulse rate setting which will tell the user how much stronger your heart is getting as cardiovascular fitness increases. It displays pulse rate, calories, distance, speed, time of day, timer for the workout and resistance/load level, you can set the timer calories to count up for you or count down. I love this because if your goal is to work off dessert, just put in the calories you had and go till they are all burned off! I put it together myself, one step in the assembly would have been easier with another person but it wasn't too hard to do alone. The machine is very well designed and manufactured. The assembly was easy with clear instructions provided. The box is large but will fit in a truck or caravan with the seats down. I unboxed it in the driveway and took it up the stairs in the three layers it is packed into. I had help loading it into my truck, i highly recomend measuring your vehicle to see if the box fits if you are picking it up. I also had help bringing it into my house. From the first workout i could tell i love this elliptical, it is significantly better than previous ones i've owned at similar cost. I would absolutely recomend this product strongly to everyone looking for a great and affordable home elliptical.

This elliptical machine was so easy to assemble. I was able to do it myself with little help from my husband. My only complaint is that the monitor was defective. I had to call customer service and they are sending me a new one. It would have been nice to use it right away. Overall it seems very sturdy and doesn't take up a ton of space. I would recommend it.

After looking at several other ellipticals, we chose and bought this one a couple of weeks ago. Took about an hour to set up, instructions were EXCELLENT - each step was in a separate little baggie marked "step 1," etc., which was very helpful. The machine looks and feels solid and performs very well. I would definitely recommend this to others and would buy it again if I had a choice.

Well putting it together was easy. The machine is ok I guess. I got it because of all the stellar reviews but I am not so impressed after spending that amount of money for a machine. I could have bought a gazelle, it is simply a high priced gazelle with bad resistance. The higher on resistance you go the more noise it makes as well as the fact that I do not notice the difference in resistance. Overall its very sturdy and easy to use but to pay almost 450 I could have went and bought something much better and now since its put together and the box is so big (as big as a pallet) they wont take it back.
