this pop up shed is absolutely awsom!! i put it up in minutes, it's water proof, and big enough to hold all the items you want.....some of my neighbors have already ordered their own!! i would highly recommend this product, i'm going to actually order another one!!
It is nothing more than a tent with no windows. And so far, impossible to pop up. It does NOT "Pop up" .. These poles you have to put together, that remind me of a tent, they go inside and connect to this or that. There were two of us, and i abandoned the project. The instructions ARE ABSOLUTE JUNK ... They need to be in color and REAL not line drawings. They make NO sense, whatsoever ... I can see in the picture when i bought it what it is suppose to look like at completion, but, i cannot tell, what the INSIDE looks like to put the thing together, and there are NO pics of the inside at completion. I am probably going to return this because it is ABSOLUTE JUNK .. and NOT what i thought it would be.. and i had actually thought of getting 2, I am so glad i didn't ... NOT at all happy with this ... (however if i had to pick one slightly positive thing, the bottom is very sturdy type of tarp plastic .. but it is not water proof, I would have to use cinder blocks and a piece of plywood to set this thing on top of. This totally does NOT help me right now either ... More wasted time ....
I ordered this to use as an outdoor smoking shelter to keep the wind and cold from bothering smokers outside my house. It was easy to set up and large enough to put a couple of chairs in along with a stand ashtray. Put a rug on the floor and it's perfect. I have tied it down on the patio using the supplies to my wrought iron patio foundation and chainlink fence so I hope it stands up to the winds. So far so good.
First off - I live in Seattle & we had a mild winter this year, so I cannot rate this product for winter use/sustainability. But it does rain all-the-time in Seattle and we can get some pretty high winds with some major gusts - and the shed held up beautifully in the 10 months or so that I have had it (purchased summer 2009). It *does* take on a bit of water - although I am not sure from where - but to be honest, considering where I live and how much it rains, the small amount of water on the floor was not a problem for me. At first, I just mopped it up, but after a few times of that, I just decided to poke a hole in the floor at the lowest point so the water could drain - this has worked out well. Also, when I put it up, I noticed a tear near the front vent - instead of struggling with taking it back down and shipping it back for a replacement, I just put a piece of tarp over that vent (see pic). The only critters I noticed that gained access to the shed over the winter months were a few spiders - and while it took on a bit of water, that water pooled on the floor at the lowest point and drained - so my lawn mower, etc was not damaged and was well protected from the elements. It was a bit difficult for me to put up - but only because it was awkward - 2 people should have no problem whatsoever. As I said, we get some high winds here - and all I really needed were the tent stakes - 8 of them, I believe - to keep it in place this past year. I have 2 sheds that are like this - this one, which is fully enclosed, and a different type with no floor - while the other has metal pieces for its "skeleton," this one is, by far, the better of the 2 as it really keeps things protected from the elements - and it is a great shed for the money - it is not permanent, so dont expect it to be, but it is $150, has a floor, is somewhat waterproof, and isnt a huge metal or wood structure that requires a foundation. I would recommend this product - I gave it 4 stars because of the initial damage and the fact that it takes on a bit of water.
This is the second time that I have bought this product. The first one lasted 4 years so I figure that is good for living in Seattle. I would imagine that it would last longer in an area that doesn't have so much rain. It even survived several snow storms! In addition, this new one is improved so I think it will last longer. For the price, it's a good buy-you will get your money's worth.
