We only drank Folgers Gormet Supreme Med/Dark roast for many years. Used to be THE BEST. For about the last 6 months something has changed. Definitely does not taste like Folgers. Some cans haven't tasted like coffee. Tried different supplier and all are the same. A couple of cans ago it was great. The 3 or 4 before that and since then have something wrong with them. I hope they back to how it was immediately. Very disappointed.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the instant coffee more, this is fine if you have a a coffee machine. Same aroma, the packaging is pretty big and decent for 2-4 household. But like I said the flavor was pretty good , it just last for a month.
I tried this about 3 years ago and liked it. Over the years I found that I like medium to dark roast blends and moved to a more expensive private label from Canada which I won't list here. While I still love it the cost has become prohibitive and it does not come in canisters. Folgers is a better value, great taste and easily obtained in NE Ohio. I am curious as to what beans are used in the Gourmet Supreme. They used to list that info on the package.
I switched to Folgers Gourmet Supreme several years ago in search of a richer, full-bodied flavor of coffee than the classic roast and I've been enjoying it ever since! Changing the labeling did nothing to change the flavor of the coffee; as a matter of fact, I didn't even notice that change until today! Keep making this style, Folgers, as there isn't anything else I'd rather have in the morning. Good to the last drop! =)
I was drinking this for the last two weeks and I really like it. I've had it a few times and always went back to Classic Roast, but this time I'll certainly be buying again soon. Its very good, great Mountain Grown aroma, rich and full bodied but well rounded. It's very good. I was looking online for information about the blend and roast, all I could find was a commercial stating that it's “Mountain Grown Colombian blended with Select Gourmet Beans”. I really wish Folgers did better advertising on their label, and provided their consumers with more information. The label has zero copy writing on it, I'd personally love to hear a word from Folgers about the product. What happened to “mountain grown” I have an old can that talks about the volcanic soil the coffees grown in, with a mini mountains & little Golden Poppies drawn on the can. That's was high end of you guys, Folgers has to bring that back. It's not good enough to be a red can, I'd love the shrink wrap labels back with all the information about the product. The aroma seal can is about 20 years old per my research, I'm hoping (and sure there is) a design update is in the works.
