These arrive very fresh every time ordered. Perfect for grilling and cooking. Make excellent vegetarian 'burgers' because of the savory taste, just add a little garlic %26 onion powders.

The mushroom caps were rotten to the point they were just about liquefied. The bag had stinky fluid in it and it leaked on the carpet. I can't believe someone thought they were safe for anyone to consume.

Item not fresh or even close . Needed to be discarded and not sold. It was a pick up order so you get what you get. I should have known better and picked it out myself.

It seems that the provider for these has changed recently and since that time, the mushrooms have been slimy and had an odd smell. We've had to toss them. In the past, Walmart's portabello mushroom cap were very good most of the time.

When you buy a portabella you want a firm mushroom and no dirt caked in it. I ordered these in my Walmart order and was happy to receive clean, firm and dry, no liquid mushroom. The taste was delicious. I sliced it and fried it in butter. Yum.
