Set to tunes sung by Elton John (including the smash-hit title song), Friends is the controversial story of teen lovers Paul and Michelle. Alienated by the adult world, they flee to an idyllic cottage where they explore their newfound love...and learn to cope with being on their own. Because of its storyline (most notably the depiction of 15-year-old youths becoming parents), the film met with protests- and a box office following that led to the sequel Paul And Michelle.
