ice maker in fridge froze up. bought this unit to make ice. then bought a new fridge with 2 ice makers

I does make ice but requires a lot of attention. Ice is not clear. Ice is very wet, when placed in a colder freezer for later use it sticks together in one solid block. It is slow depending on room temperature the only way to get 40 %23 per 24 hours would be to start with water at just above 32 degrees, make sure you are standing by to empty Ice and refill water immediately when needed.

Makes great clear ice cubes, most of the time. Sometimes a couple of the cubes will only be about halfway complete. Adjusting the water outlet pipe usually corrects this problem. The main problem is that the motor started to fail within a month, making loud grinding and squealing noises. Thankfully I am still within the return window so I have a replacement on the way. Hopefully I'll have better luck with the next one.

Perfect. Quiet, not heavy so very portable. First plug ice took 20mins to make 1 tray but afterwards, every 8mins was another tray. Love this! Just wish there was a scoop holder so doesn't take up space inside but no complaints.

I am truly an ice snob and have been looking for an ice maker that makes restaurant quality ice which won't cost me an arm and a leg. Have had this Ice Maker for about a month now and I must say that I love it. Now it does make clear ice but that greatly depends on your water if you use tap water the ice won't be as clear as if you used bottled water. It does make alot of ice and the only issue is that you have to break it up when it falls which is not a big deal either. The size is not bad either about the size of an Airfryer, so you can put it on your counter. When cleaning it when your done the smaller your hands the better cause it is a little tight in there. Overall I really do love this ice maker and would highly recommend it if you are one of those people like me who hate freezer ice and want somthing better then you cant go wrong with this bad boy.
