Frigidaire - 150 sq ft Window-Mounted Mini-Compact Air Conditioner - White

This 6000 BTU unit cools the room far less efficiently than the previous 5000 BTU Gold Star unit did. I was shocked at how it struggles to get the room down to 72 from only 78 – and only when it's set down to 66. The day it was installedI did try to reach Frigidaire‘s helpline, which is in their pamphlet, and I was told to unplug the machine and plug it back in, which, of course achieved nothing. They said that they would call back and arrange an appointment with a technical consultant: this never happened. I'm afraid that I am unable to recommend this air conditioner or the helpline.

I've been buying Frigidaire window units for 15 years. I haven't had any problems with them. I had two 10,000 btu units in my 1080 square foot condo. One upstairs, one downstairs. My electric bill was low and the condo stayed cool in the main areas. The bathrooms weren't as cool because the air can't get into those rooms as easily. You have to use a fan to push the air into the side rooms. This unit seems to be a little quieter than the other ones I purchased in the past which was probably 8 years ago. I love the economy feature, the unit turns itself off and on and saves on your electricity usage. I've never used any of the other features on the unit like the sleep mode. I'm probably missing out on a good feature I just never felt like trying to figure out how it works lol I recommend getting an insulation package to put over the wings. The wings are thin and they don't stop heat or cold from coming into your house.

Unit failed after 6 weeks. Ctc'd Frigidaire for warranty service and they said that the e-mail receipt/confirmation for order/payment did not show the model number so there was nothing they could do. (unit was shipped direct from Frigidaire so I'm sure they can confirm validity). Just sounds like they are looking for any excuse to shirk responsibility and not stand behind their products.

The seller is a scammer. He tried to say they never received my order but ups said they created a label and never shipped the item. it was a big hassle getting my money back even through Walmart. I threatened to do a dispute through my bank and they issued a refund right away. I shouldn't of had such a terrible experience. i bought this item over a week ago and still haven't received it. don't buy anything from this person. read their reviews because they have scammed many out of their money. you shouldn't be allowed to sell on Walmart.

This is the 2nd a/c unit like this one that we have. Our daughter bought one to put in our extra bedroom and it is still doing great so we decided to buy another for our bedroom. It is cooling better than any unit we have ever had in that room!! It was easy to install too!! I highly recommend it!!!
