DO NOT BUY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Unfortunately there are more cons than pros to this laundry center. I was excited to find a "stackable" in something other than the boring white but that's pretty much where the pros stop. The only other positive that I have about this unit is the capacity. I can wash a king size quilt and sheet set with no problem with room to spare. Other than than...the lint trap does NOT work properly. When you open the dryer, there is lint EVERYWHERE! A technician came out and couldn't find anything wrong so his only suggestion was to make sure it was pushed all the way in. I knew for a fact it was so basically, he had no explanation and no fix. Making sure it was pushed all the way in was the natural thing to do when I did the first load and opened the door to lint flying everywhere. There is no timer or any type indicator to let you know where you are in a cycle so you just have to time the cycles for yourself the first time and then just "track" manually. There is a useless fabric softener on/off switch. The time/effort/money should have been put into some type timer. Additionally the cycles take FOREVER. A normal wash cycle takes about an hour and a half! Energy efficiency is "the thing" now but some things you just cant/shouldn't skimp on. This washer, in trying to be energy efficient and use the least amount of water, doesn't use enough water. There are times that the wash cycle has finished and there are dry spots on the clothes. I really feel it's not cleaning well. Depending on what I wash, sometimes, the clothes are what I would call "barely damp" at the end of the wash cycle. Although the capacity is nice, it can be a pain getting clothes out. The washer tub is deep but since this is a stackable, the door will only open to 45 degrees so you find yourself trying to bend over and down deep through a small opening. At 5' 3" with short arms, I basically have to climb in to get clothes out. I really hate giving bad reviews. Normally I don't review products at all but I feel compelled to share what I know about this washer/dryer because this IS an investment. This isn't some $50 item you can toss and just go out and buy another. At least not in my household. I wouldn't recommend buying this. Frigidaire needs to go back to the drawing board on this one.
Have had it for several months. I normally only use the quick wash (20min), anything eles taks about an hour to complete. Would think rince & spin would only take a few min, wrong - about an hour. The delicate cycle beats thing to pieces, again about an hour. everything but the quick wash seems to be stuck on the 50 to 65 min wash time. I would like to be able to get a list of cycle times for each wash cycle but there isn't any to be found. Had I realized these problems earlier I would probably have returned the beast.
I bought this machine to replace a one and a half year old front load washer that cost nearly twice the price. In fact, I bought two of these wash center machines and have them in both of my homes. It holds a LOT of wash. It spins like a front loader (fast)! It has not gone out of balance with a load ever no matter what I put in it. It makes easy work of King-sized bedding inclusive of mattress pads. They're good looking. I have one in white and one in the charcoal. They are a bit noisy but I like the noise as it actually completes wash cycles (unlike my old/new front loader.) They sometimes need to fill with more water, but if you re-click the water temp selector it fills with more. There could be an "Extra Rinse" selection but at this price point: meh, it's fine. It IS a deep reach to the bottom of the tub for little people. Did I already say "it holds a LOT OF LAUNDRY?" oh, yeah!! One last comment: I like to do my own service if/when I need it. I have looked "inside" these machines and they are blissfully simple and have all vital parts easily accessible.
I bought this washer/dryer about 4 months. After the second washed load i did in it...it got ate a shirt through the spinning wheel. I had the warranty fixed my washer dryer... the tech that fixed it told me to load only very small amounts of clothes.
Did not come with manual, so we had to go online. The problems we experienced are not described or mentioned properly. - We do not know cycle stage - Load with soapy stains whether large or light loads - Beeps and stops suddenly, we can take up several minutes trying to figure it out how to make it work again. It happens with both washer and dryer. - Although it has a large load capacity, the washer is very uncomfortable to retrieve clothing at the bottom. - Light bed sheets got caught and snagged under the central spinning border. Almost lost them. Thank you.
