Garmin 205 Automobile Portable GPS Navigator

I first used my uncles Garmin for a 3 hr trip i took. I dont really drive that much so it was very good at getting me where i had to be.. So i purchased one for myself.. and It got me there without any problems so that was nice.. I was kinda iffy about getting this brand but after trying my uncle and my bf suggesting i get it. Its really precise as to where to turn. tells you how far you are from your next turn and it flags your destinations as you get close.. Just have a USP wire handy so you can download the maps and register the GPS. but remeber as well if you gonna change a setting to the gps to make sure you update the address.. cuz on my last trip it got me off two exits before the one i needed. and watch the speed limit. alot of the roads i took had 45 posted and the gps was saying 50 to 55 but thats in the construction zone. so just keep an eye open to the speed limits.. but other than that its a good gps.. i really dont regret on getting it. I feel more comfortable driving longer distances now.

Hubby and I wanted a portable GPS to replace the one our kids broke. (Don't ask!) This one is straightforward, easy and not many bells and whistles, which we didn't want. It gets us where we're going, it's easy to understand how to operate, it's portable and easily stashes in the console or glove compartment when we get out of the car. It was the cheapest price we could find for a new unit.

I bought this on super online sale only. I could hardly wait until it came. It ended up taking much longer than I expected to be delivered. About a week and a half. I was not able to track the package for about 5 working days. When it finally was delivered it was banging around in the box but so far seems to work fine. It seems to take a while, once in a while to find my location for some reason. It is nice to finally not need to look at a T Bothers map or quest map while trying to drive. I would recommend getting one with free map updates as I have heard it is a around 50.00 to upgrade maps.

I have had the nuvi 205 for a couple of years and it works great. Easy to hear, easy to see. This was such a good product that I bought my mother one for mother's day and she loves it. I have confused mine a couple of times but it always get me where I want to go.

This product doesn't announce the street name. It will just tell you "Turn left, or turn right." Not very helpful if you're not familiar with the streets. I returned it and got the TomTom also at Walmart for the same price and its so much better.
