Garmin Dash Cam 45

As a Dash Cam it works as it should. Extra features not so good, Red light alert, at the same light, same conditions alerts then alerts a second time next day doesn't alert. Go Alert sounds even after being in motion for some distance. Forward collision Warning, will give it a 4 star for its warning when drivers cut in from an adjoining lane. Will keep using it with Red Light and Go Alert disabled. (I do realize a Cyclops subscription is required for updates but the red light issues are at the same old light(s).

The dash cam is great I love the way records I love the sauce small problem is I had to go to multiple YouTube channels to find someone who can show me how to use it and show me all the features. Garmin provided almost no instructions no guide no nothing! I guess you just have to figure it out yourself.

Purchased this dash camera while on a cross country trip after my old one went belly up. I've had several different cameras in the past but all of them were poor performers or quality. The Garmin 45 so many features not expected in a dash cam really suprised me. It has excellent picture quality. Better than any other dash cam I've owned. Wish I had purchased a Garmin a long time ago.

I love the small footprint on my windshield, it's not a distraction at all. Easy to install and I was able to run the power cord along the interior molding so there's no dangling cord. Instructions said to apply the base to the windshield the temp should be between 70 and 100 degrees Fahrenheit. I figured they wouldn't sell many here in Minnesota in March if that was true so I went ahead and did it when it was 35 and it worked fine. Very happy with it so far and it's not to tough to transfer the video to my phone.

This camera is well made. I have no issues to report as this is a very dependable dash cam. I don't leave home without it. Perfect size for the windshield not to big doesn't stick out making it hard to notice depending on your placement of course. If you buy one you are sure to like it.
