I was a Wahoo user, and used to love my computer. But to be honest this is in a different level! The UI is so detailed, the screen is so good, the touchscreen is so receptive. The only downhill I see is that, you need to spend a lot of time setting it up in order to get all the info you really want, since have a lot of thing. Is a very light computer, the battery is increadable, I ride several times a week, also unsing it as a base computer for my indoortrainer, and I charge it once a week. Other of the things I love is that it shows up the batery of all my sensors (Garming 1 - Wahoo 0). I will give a 4.5, only becasue the time I need to spend on the set up, but other than that, GREAT JOB GARMIN.
I have been a Garmin user for a long time. My previous Garmin 530 was getting very hard to read as I have gotten older and my eyes are not what they once were. The 1050 has allowed me to see my stats and the where I am going again. The display is bright and clear. The map is the best feature of all. I use it extensively for mountain biking new trails and ones I am not as familiar with. No more having to pull out my phone at every intersection. Trailforks integration is spectacular. Battery life has been really good as well. I used to have a Garmin 820 with touchscreen and everytime I would sweat on it it would read the sweat as a touch and change the screen or something. This 1050 does NOT do that at all. Just a great unit and so glad I forked out the extra $$ for it.
I finally replaced my 1030+ after 6 years of use. At first I thought it would be a pain to transfer my activity profiles and data from my old unit, but it was seamless. Setting up the 1050 was the easiest setup I have ever done on any device. Plus the features, screen quality and quickness of the 1050 is amazing.
Picked the 1050 up about 2 months ago. Have about 16 rides and 575 miles with it. Clarity of screen is really nice (had a wahoo roam v2) as is the size and touch screen responsiveness. I was a little hesitant about the touch screen. Works flawlessly.I do not have many rides in the rain with it but the 2 I did have it worked the same way. No regrets about the size.
The Garmin 1050 is absolutely fantastic for cycling enthusiasts like me. It's packed with metrics that track every ride-speed, distance, elevation, power, and more. Pairs seamlessly with my radar for extra safety, spotting cars in real time. Lightweight, super accurate, and the navigation's spot-on. Boosts my rides with data I can actually use to improve. Absolutely worth every penny-best cycling tool I've ever owned! Miguel Z
