Product worked right out of box. Easy to set up and use. Just started using so I will write back later when I have completed testing of all functions. The only change I would make is a more substantial bike mount.

The product took a little longer than I expected to get set up on the bike. However, it is every bit as good as advertised. The software could be a bit more user friendly. But, overall, for the price, this is an outstanding product and a must have for serious riders.

I puchased the Edge 305 with the cadence and heart rate monitor with skepticism. Having tried several heart rate monitors over the years, the only brand I have been satisfied with is Polar. This is the first heart rate monitor I have used that compares with Polar and does what appears to do as good a job. The information you can monitor during your ride, study and save after your ride, and the ability to compare prior rides to your current ride can be overwhelming. I am still tweaking the information that shows on the screens while in use to give me the info I want on the ride. The only complaints or concerns I would have about the unit are the fact that the battery is built into the unit, can't just plug a AAA or watch battery in when the battery fails. That being said, however, I've done several centuries with no issue. The other is that there are so many options available to choose from when using this device, it can be difficult to choose which you want. Overall, I feel this device is a fantastic value and well built. The connection to a PC is straight forward and the software installs fairly simply. I did have an issue with the unit connecting with my PC's, but the product support was excellent, pointing me to the updates available and needed to get the unit functioning properly. I heartily recommend this to all my biking buddies and once they see it, they love it and buy one!

I got this for Father's Day and couldn't be happier. Very easy to use once the initial setting up for the bicycle is complete. Tracks miles, MPH, altitude climbed and calculates calories burned. It stores the data for you. Plug it into your computer and it is all stored. It will take you to Google earth and show you the satellite view with your route marked. It has only rechargeable batteries which last about 5 hours, so you have to keep it charged if you ride long distances.

This is a replacement for a 305 I wore out through hard riding over multiple years. This unit does a great job of capturing all your ride data, and allowing you to compare rides and chart performance gains. Computer software and docking are really intuitive and give a clear snapshot of your rides. Only shortfall - the screen is a bit delicate - so don't bury it in a crash and consider a small case for transport to protect it.
