Garmin - GPS receiver mount bracket for navigator - for StreetPilot c310, c320, c330, c340, c510

I had to buy this piece of junk to replace the same mount that came with my Garmin... The cheap plastic clasps that hold onto the gps snapped like a twig. This is the worst design I have ever seen for a gps mount, and it really upsets me to have to pay $30 to buy a replacement that will probably just end up breaking yet again. I do however commend walmart for supplying this, and offering it with their wonderfully free ship-to-store service.

I had a few doubts when I bought it, but after receiving it I couldn't be more pleased. I travel about half of the year in a minivan, and this thing doesn't move at all. I highly recommend this product in the place of the window mount that falls off over time and in extreme temperatures. It's also very easy to remove and replace.

Its not as stable as the the bean bag mount used for the new Garmin GPS models, but it does the job well. The GPS unit seems to vibrate a little and the mount "walks" a little but never has fallen off the dash yet. But you get a new plug-in power cable and mount for the unit thrown in which normally sells for the same price as this complete kit does - so the dash mount is really free in my opinion since i needed a new power cable. And it makes hiding the unit very easy and prevents the unit from falling off the window or dashboard. I'm going to try the GPS unit with the new base on a bean bag mount and see if the unit still vibrates and walks in the same car.

This product is much better than the window holder my GPS orginally came with. It sits on the dash and doe not move. I had alot of trouble with the window holder that came orginally with the device. It would fall off of the window. This product works much better.

I needed the part desperately. I ordered the part for my Garmin when I was on vacation and had it sent to a Wal Mart where I was vacationing. It was sent promptly and it works great! I am very grateful that the part was offered for my Garmin and it helped me to get on home. No problems at all. I highly recommend the garmin dash mount with hook ups.
