Garmin n??vi 200W Automobile Navigator

the wide screen is a must when you are trying to hunt and peck on the screen with man hands. wal-mart had the best price i could find anywhere. this is a great gps that does an excellent job. i love how it re-calculates if you miss a turn and the voice directions are very clear to understand. if you are looking for an affordable & simple gps w/o all of the xtra stuff that isn't necessary than this is definitely the one. i would recommend the garmin nuvi 200w to anyone!

THE NUVI 200W IS A GREAT HELP IN LOCATING AN ADDRESS WHEN YOU ARE IN ATRUCK IN A STRANGE AREA.

I found the Garmin nuvi 200W very easy to use from the get go. A little common sense and follow the prompts and it was a quick and easy programming. If I can do it anybody can. The wide screen makes it easy to read when driving. So far I love it and gives me peace of mind when I'm in the cities that I CAN'T get lost. Thanks

Loved this GPS. Was the third one I'd tried (after 2 different ones by Magellan) and it did everything it said it would. Easy to use right out of the box AND includes an instruction booklet. Simple to hook up to the lighter outlet. Excellent visibility. Quick recalculations when I missed or deliberately didn't follow the GPS instructions. Only two drawbacks I found: (1) Sometimes it said street names incorrectly, so I didn't recognize them (NOT a big problem); and (2) Sometimes NOT HAVING "text-to-speech" can cause a serious error. For example: twice, on freeways, the GPS kept repeating "Stay right" ... so I did. And twice I ended up on the wrong road or freeway. The first time, I ended up going east instead of west on a freeway. The second time, I ended up going south instead of north and had to pay a toll both ways (after getting off and getting back on in the right direction)! If the GPS had said the street name or direction, this wouldn't have happened. Or, if I knew ahead of time, and paid close attention, I could have avoided these mistakes. But, with only seconds to make a decision at some freeway interchanges, there often isn't enough time to think it out (safely). So, I took it back. "Text-To-Speech" SAYS the street name of the turn you are making like "turn right on Market Street", instead of just "turn right in 100 yards" or "in one mile, stay right"). IF you can live without street names, this is a GREAT GPS. I'm now looking for a Garmin just like this one only WITH "text-to-speech" ... (I tried the Garmin 650 ... nice, but the power cord connects to the mounting stand, not the GPS (like the 200W does) and, the mounting stand doesn't work in my car. Plus, I like being able to just plug and go; then, when I get to where I'm going, I unplug and throw the GPS in my bag (leaving nothing in my car to steal!).

This Garmin Nuvi is simply fantastic! I have used it several times. It is very easy to use and it list everything that you could possibly need such as restaraunts, area attractions, hotels, and stores. It allows you to save favorite locations for future reference.
