Garmin n??vi 255 Automobile Navigator

A good friend of mine let me use her Garmin Nuvi to go to my mom's wake and it took me right to my sisters house I did not even reallize that I did not even stop and it took me the easyest way to get to were I was going so I had to get one. I loved hers so now I will have my own.

It'sa good product for the money. I live in atlanta and do lots of jobs around the city and never steers me wrong. I was a bit disapointed in the fact that any water on the face can make it unusable for days. I learned if that happens to run air i used reverse on a shop vac through usb port to dry up between screens. and that worked. But now I taped around the face edge with electrical tape to make it more water proof. I also bought the rubber caseing that surounds the unit and has a clip. Heard alot complants on the window mont. I wet mine and pressed hard and stuck it so it under the review mirror. and close to the dash. works well there. the other thing was that the website to get upgrades rather confusing but they are there. But probably easier to order the disk. Issues concerning don't see the memory micro sd card. Well i looked it up on site and well it wrong. the card will apear as a usb drive would but before u can go to properties to see how much it holds u have to scroll a picture or a map or something on it first. So untill info is put on the card you wont see it being used. or amount of memory. Umm over all it a good easy to use and nice thing to have. It does have pedestriann mode though never tried it and over all very happy with the unit. enjoy take care dave

ALthough I didn't always follow the lead I do appreciate this gps system. it took me to Ohio from NC and when I went differently it was quick to recalculate my direction. I would reccommend it for the price

Garmin Nuvi 255 GPS, is good if you are on a budget. What I don't like is that sometimes I have a hard time entering an address. Usually it selects the street before I even complete the name of it, and that's annoying because sometimes it spits back unwanted street names. The best way to set up your destination is to go goole it on google map and then enter the coordinates, I found this to work much better. Otherwise it's not bad, I am pleased with it, besides the things mentioned above, the coordinates make up for the difference. Plus it has many languages, and it pronounces the street names. It also includes Canada into its maps, so overal its not bad, but if you are a professional trucker, I'd recommend a much better one, otherwise for the rest of us 2 day a week users I say this is a pretty good product.

My first GPS. I do not always agree with the routes. I wish there was a save the route traveled feature.
