Garmin n��vi 350 - GPS navigator - automotive 3.5"

I bought this for my 25 year old daughter who has a horrible sense of direction and does a lot of traveling at night. The fact that the product verbally gives her directions, so she doesn't have to try and read it while driving was the reason I purchased the more expensive one. She loves it!

Ms. Garmin is one extremely helpful lady. She took me on a 158 mile trip ending on the corner of 34th street and 8th ave in NYC. She never missed a turn or made a mistake. Features of particular help are: Advance notice of upcoming turns. Names of streets to be turned onto and a reminder just before the turn. lane help by saying "exit 3 on the left". If I make a wrong turn she recalculates in just seconds to save me.

The Nuvi 350 is a good product. The verbal direction pronunciation takes a short time to get used to. I bought two, one for my wife and one for my son. Reading a map while driving can be a challenge and this product talks you through your maneuvers. Cons: Satellite communication has cut out on when thick storm clouds were present.

So far the product has worked fine, I used it to travel from IL to OH and I had no problems with it. It's possible to add POIs through MSN Live Search Maps, unfortunately I couldn't find a way to do that through Google Maps (I don't think is possible), so when I don't want to follow exactly the GPS directions, I just get the directions showed by google and follow it, with also the GPS just in case. I am happy with it. My experience has been positive.
