This laptop is remarkably good for the price. I especially love the fingerprint scanner and built-in micro-SD card reader which are rarely available on even premium machines by well-known manufacturers. The battery life is great--albeit not quite the 10 hours as advertised; I also noticed that the included charger charged the device much more quickly than I expected. I should also mention that I have found the particular shade of blue used on this laptop is quite unique, so you won't have to worry about someone else picking yours up by accident. One issue I have is the keyboard keys not being quite as sturdy and a bit too responsive to even small, inadvertent taps. The only other thing I wish were improved was that the unit was apparently preinstalled with the wrong version of AMD's Adrenaline software; however, I just went to the website and installed the correct version. I would like to end on another positive: the computer was not preloaded with tons of bloat software that I had to delete.

This was quite a bargain. You get a 4 core CPU, 8 threads at 2.3Ghz base speed, with 4.5Gigs video card for less than 300 USD. Can't really beat that. Some have reported that their charger or battery was a dud. Not my case. Mine works perfectly. It is as fast and solid as you would expect from its specs to be. Perfect computer for regular office work, for media playing, light gaming, browsing, programming even and so on. Might run more advanced software like Adobe suite, arch, video and audio editing software but it's a stretch. For it's price can't go any better. Now, with such a price it has some negative points to it, they might make you choose more expensive options: 1. You can't expand the ram memory, you are stuck with 8 gbs, they come embedded in the motherboard. 2. The plastic encasing feels feeble. I'd try not to drop it ( i don't think it would sustain the heavy treatment kids might give it). 3. Ports are scarce, you only get 1 full-on power usb, other USB port, no Ethernet which could have been nice, 1 micro sd, 1 USB type c, HDMI and headphones. 4. The speakers are bad, like real bad. you are way better connecting it to something external or use your headphones. 5. The power button is just the right upper corner button on the keyboard which is annoying. I've pressed it by mistake a couple of times. That's it, but i mean, did I say i payed less than 300 bucks? For the price you get a low end physical feel but more of a medium performance laptop. To me it was a no-brainer purchase. Even my wife was ok with it Manny.

I really like this computer it is the best bang for the buck with everything that it has other places you’ll pay up words from seven to $800 for this kind of computer and I got it at Walmart for under three thank you Walmart

do not buy a Gateway. Their laptop is cheap and not well built. The Wifi fried on me after 5 weeks of normal use. Dealing with support and returns / repair has been a nightmare.
