GE - 15" 26-Lb. Freestanding Ice maker with Gourmet Clear Ice - Custom Panel Ready

I got the ice maker new and GE can not provide me any way of getting the door kit and handle. Basically I have a new ice maker and No handle to open the door. GE has an indefinite wait till next year to get the part. New item and can't get door cover or handle! Thanks GE

Never had an icemaker that didn't freeze ice into one massive chunk after a bit....until now! I love this thing. Had a little bit of a learning curve the first couple of days, but that was on me for not fully understanding how it is designed to work. Working great now. Love always having enough non-clumped ice!

When it is making ice properly the ice is great. However it too often makes bad ice and I feel I have to descale it way too often. Even after descaling it can be intermittent gods then bad. It also does not stop. We have to monitor it and turn it off manually. I would assume it would have some sensor to prevent it from overflowing

We owned a prior GE undercounted ice maker for 14 years. I cleaned it regularly and never had one problem with it. Fast forward, we had this very expensive ice maker installed a few months ago and the "top hat" cubes sound like cue balls dropping. I kid you not. You can hear it from all over the house. And another problem is when the cubes drop into the bin, they line/stack up against the door. When you go to scoop them out, they fall out on the floor.... But the worst thing, was when I discovered (bent down low enough to see) mold all the plastic parts and it was even on the sides and interior door. That was when it was about 2 months old...3 months ago. We NEVER had mold on our old one....now I have to clean with bleach water every week or so. Ridiculous. Hope we don't get sick.......

SO EXCITED TO FINALLY GET OUR NEW ICE MACHINE! WE LOVE IT, WE PLUGGED IT IN AND IT STARTED MAKING ICE RIGHT AWAY! **NOTE THAT IT DOES NOT COME WITH A FRONT DOOR PANEL AND THAT NEEDS TO BE PURCHASED SEPARATELY. I DID NOT KNOW THIS AND HAD TO CALL CUSTOMER SERVICE- THEY TOLD ME EXACTLY WHAT I NEEDED TO ORDER, AND I ORDERED IT ON FRIDAY AND RECEIVED IT ON SUNDAY!
