GE - 21.9 Cu. Ft. Garage-Ready Top-Freezer Refrigerator - Black Slate

Product initially seem to be working fine however, after a few weeks, it was getting noisy, running longer and not maintaining a temperature less than 50° F . Lowering the temperature control knob to a colder setting made No difference . Placed a service call… Not sure if I got a lemon .

We are pleased overall with this refrigerator. Some reviews stated that it is noisy, but the operational sounds are not a problem, more like "white noise" and we're able to watch TV with no problem. The clear bins on the door are a nice feature, making it easier to identify items stored there.

We were so surprised with the amount of space in this fridge! We are going back to a regular top/bottom fridge from a double door/bottom freezer model and so far we love the switch. It is more compact for the space which is great. We had an icemaker installed and it also works very well. The shelving is nicely spaced out. It is no more or less noisy than other fridges we've had. And it is very cold and I hope it stays that efficient. The only drawbacks would be the bins for the cheeses/cold meats and the produce are a bit small/short. Especially the one for the cheeses/cold meats. That one could have been wider or maybe have two.

The fridge is much louder than I expected, quite a bit louder than the 20 year old fridge I replaced with it. It seems to work just fine and I was very happy to find a reasonably priced fridge with both a butter dish and a cheese drawer. My only real complaint so far other than thr noise is the extreme difficulty I've had removing the plastic wrap from the front, it is very hard to get off.

Capacity - actually more room than I need but appreciate the extra room should I need it Configuration - miss the configuration of my previous GE model (approx. 30 yrs. old) probably because it was what I was used to. Do not care for the smaller produce drawers as I typically use mostly fresh fruits and vegetables. Cooling - fine. Energy - really don't know how much less it uses than my old refrigerator as AC use now will inflate my electric bill now. Shelving - door shelving not to my liking again because it is so different from my previous refrigerator. I'll get used to it in time. Overall, I have no complaints. Do like the brightness/lighting - makes everything look so clean.
