GE - 21.9 Cu. Ft. Top-Freezer Refrigerator - Stainless steel

The icemaker is slow to make cubes. Generally, puts out 30 cubes overnight. The ice tastes like chemicals and will not go away. We had this serviced - waterline flushed (no problem with the taste of the water) and had the icemaker flushed. The chemical taste will not go away. Totally useless and unhealthy. Is there a fix for this?

We ended up buying this refrigerator because the previous brand new one, (not a GE) that we had just purchased for our garage, didn't work at all! After countless attempts to have it serviced and/or replaced, we'd had enough of being run around in circles, and decided to go with a brand we know and love! Initially, when it arrived, we thought it was going to be too small. However, after opening the door, we were pleasantly surprised at how spacious it is on the inside! The only reason I am giving 3 stars instead of more is because we are having trouble with the refrigerator staying cold enough. This may be an electrical issue on our end, as we had the same concerns with the last one we had just ordered; but that one's freezer didn't work at all and the fridge barely got below 50 degrees. This one's freezer is working fine, but the fridge is not staying cool. In fact, we literally just had to throw out a brand new gallon of milk because after opening it up it was spoiled, chunky, and was 64 degrees when we measured it! We'll be calling to have it serviced and hopefully it's nothing major bc we really do like this model overall and would certainly recommend it to other people.

This refrigerator has not worked since day 1. I contacted customer support to complain about the refrigerator. I was told on October 4 that I have been approved for a brand new refrigerator. That was 2 weeks ago, and still nothing. My food is either spoiling or freezing.

Love the lowest door shelf. Found out it is called a can shelf. Great use of space. The door shelves are deep- unexpected plus. Much more room than my old 14 year old fridge. Very inexpensive to operate yearly. Ice maker is very quiet. I like the smaller cubes. Good amount of space in the freezer as well.

This refrigerator runs for a really long time - usually over an hour. It is also very noisy. The fan blows for a long time at a loud volume. I have been told that I need hearing aids but I have no trouble hearing my refrigerator. Also, when on setting 3 the ice cream is really soft so we had to bump it up to setting 4.
