GE - 25.3 Cu. Ft. Side-by-Side Refrigerator with External Ice & Water Dispenser - High gloss black

The refrigerator makes a lot of noise when it is attempting to reach its set temperature. When you add a number of items, the motor needs to work hard to maintain its temperature. The side by side is very narrow. I am constantly moving things to get at what I need. When I put a 4 cup measuring bowl up to the filtered water dispenser, the water pours out fine. When I am finished filling it and I pull the bowl away, some water inevitably spills down the fridge. Had this refrigerator not come with my new home, it is one I would quickly eliminate as an option.

Next 24 hours will decide if I return this refrigerator or keep it. Overall quality is good but there are a few areas where the build quality is not what I was used to with old unit this replaced (not a GE). Disappointed that I can't "lock" the rollers in place without affecting the height causing top to hit bottom of cabinets above even though stated dimensions on this are only 7/8" higher than what it replaces which did not come within over an inch of hitting. The two drawers, not three like appear to have been in the GE model this number replaces, are not really sturdy and I doubt will hold up to years of opening and closing. Also, its hard to understand why the white price was so much higher than stainless steel look price. Bought white because I did not want to replace all the other appliances in kitchen which which work well and look good just to have a matching kitchen. Hopefully, if I do keep it, this refrigerator will last a long time without problems.

I don't love it. If it was my choice, I would not have purchased a side-by-side. It lacks shelf and door shelf space. There is no deli tray. Just 2 bins at the bottom. But this is what came with the new build and when it dies, I will go back to the french-door style which I previously owned and it was a GE.

Seems to be a great fridge it cools great ice maker good front water dispenser ours has been great so far

I loved this refrigerator until today! I have had it 1 year and 4 months to wake up this morning to water all over my laminate flooring because the freezer stopped cooling over night and all the ice was melting and running out of the ice dispenser. For the money I paid for this and it already quit freezing is crazy. Luckily I have a deep freeze so the meat that had not thawed yet could be saved. The refrigerator side was warm as well so I had to move all the dairy, eggs, and meat to our small drink refrigerator. I see I am not the only one that has had this issue with this model.
