Doesnt dry but sure gets hot. vents cleaned and new duct. air exhausts but no drying. tried different settings. getting an lg. off to the laundomat to dry my clothes
This dryer drys well but eats anything with a string. It has ruined lots of clothing. Anything that has a drawstring or spaghetti strap it at risk of getting stuck in the side of the drum. Definitely would not recommend.
We love our dryer. We purchased it as a set years ago and it's been great. It's simple and nothing fancy, which is what we wanted. I've had many GE appliances and have never been disappointed.
The dryer is big and has lasted through many loads but garments with drawstrings (i.e. hoodies, pajama pants, etc.) and small rags will get caught between the drum and the bearings. Additionally the drum squeaks and doesn't seat well with the bearings around the front door, even after replacing the belt and bushing.
Not sure why people are complaining about the loud buzzer that they say they have to turn off themselves. I only encounter the buzzer using timed dry and it turns itself off. If you use the Cottons moisture sensor cycles there's no buzzer. I like that the drum is large enough for big loads.
