GE JES1142SJ - Microwave oven - 1.1 cu. ft - 1100 W - stainless steel

Since I've owned this oven for all of 2hrs, I'm hardly qualified to write a review. However, after reading numerous negative reviews on 4 dif sites I almost changed my mind. Let's review some common complaints: A) Too loud...FALSE! It's about as loud as...well, a microwave. B) Too much vibration...FALSE! Hardly any. C) Smudges easily...FALSE! It's got a "brushed" metal finish, you can hardly even SEE prints! D) Protective blue plastic hard to remove...FALSE! It took less than 60 sec's to remove ALL of it! E) Flimsy "free swinging" door...FALSE! The door is fine. Listen, this oven might explode later tonight for all I know-but the complaints i've addressed above have either been remedied or were highly exaggerated in the first place. I nuked some "Hot Pockets" and they tasted like..."Hot Pockets". If you like this oven...forget the "noise" and BUY IT!

I love the look of this microwave.Yes,it shows fingerprints but very easy to wipe off.The microwave we had was much smaller than this one so I am enjoying being able to cook more than one dish at a time.We've had it for about 3 weeks now with no problems and can only hope it lasts for years.For those who may not know,if you push just the start button,it adds 30 seconds.It adds another 30 seconds each time you push it.

I've had the microwave for 3 weeks and it's been great so far. The buttons are slightly hard to push, but not really a big deal. Also, beware that it is stainless steel so it fingerprints easily. Overall I am very happy with this microwave. Keypad became unpeeled within one week. Had to return and reorder. Nice microwave - works well. I hope new unit comes without defects.

This is an awesome microwave. It has all the features that I wanted and it is an excellent product, well worth the money.
