GE Wireless Alarm with Programmable Keypad - 45117

We put this on our front and back door to alert if our toddler escapes. AMAZING!!! Even with door knob holders the kids figure out a way but, once they hear the shrill they run. Also, it's loud enough for the neighbors to hear and get up to peek out the window. We use the chime daily, and screeching at night and while away. For $9, there's no complaints.

The alarm is very loud and I like the ring to you know someone just enter the house when alarm was off, it was exactly what I was looking for. Love it

I never received an email that it was ready for pickup. After the confirmation email the next message I got from Walmart was that they were issuing a refund and returning it to stock. I have never had any store pickup in Nashville, TN or Branson, MO go smoothly. From now on I'll drive to a location a just buy it or order from Amazon.

I like the concept of the product, but the device is contrary to what type of service being performed. I set up the item and it is not supposed to be more than a 1/2 an inch from the second part of the device, no matter what side of the door it is on. I measured it, set the key pad and it still didn't go off. Unacceptable! Then I pulled it off of the door to give it one more chance, it went off. The device is very loud, but unpredictable. It goes off when I'm home even after I put the code in. On home or away, is irrelevant. The other day it went off four times and it was in my hand. Like I said, good concept, but issues.....

In a good way. Operation is fairly simple. The double-sided tape holds the sensor to the door jam pretty well, but the alarm unit itself is too heavy to give a secure mounting to the door. That said, add some tape of your own. If this works for even one intrusion, gets ripped off the door and destroyed, it can still be considered a good value (I'd buy another one).
