Homestyles General Line Hardwood Hall Tree with Lift-Up Storage Seat in Cherry

Although I did not do any of the assembly... I just watched LOL... this didn't seem too difficult to assemble.

Love the material, the size, it's a nice piece

I recieved the item fairly fast. My sister and I laid it out on the floor and it took us almost 2 hrs to place together. I am not totally happy as there was a chunk of wood that had broken off during manufacturing(curved wing part on seat) and they put some off color putty in to fill part of the void. Looks bad and poorly done, this piece should have been replaced before shipping. Two of the wooden caps/plugs for the bolt holes were missing so I have two without. The inside bottom part of the seat box just sits loose inside and is about 1/4"" to small on all sides, works but does not fit. The pieces on the back upright are off a little so they do not sit tight and creat a gap between them. With all considered, it does look O.K. and too big of a hassel to send back now that it is together. The lack of quality control needs to be corrected/addressed when manufactured of which made this item disapointing for us overall.

Product is of good quality and finish. Assembled by brass ""cross dowels"" and bolts in predrilled holes. Should be about an hour job. On mine, two of the predrilled holes were off far enough to require filling with wood filler and redrilling. Depth of hole on one was too shallow for the cross dowel to line up with the bolt. I am handy in these regards, so I had it done in afternoon after filler dried.This could be a show stopper for someone not well versed in woodwork. They need better quality control to ensure the customer does not have these kinds of adjustments. After assembly, the product is just what I wanted.

Fits in well with my Key West cottage decor. Hooks are fabulous as a handy place for dogs' leashes and a jacket. I was surprised at the quality of the hall tree and very pleased with the assembly instructions, etc.
