6-2, 240lbs, with a bad back. Rode a cruiser bike in Key West and very suprised I walked away without any back pain. After returning home to Ohio in February, found this bike in Walmart for half price, $75. Out of the box I could not correctly adjust the rear brakes, called Schwinn and had a replacement assembly within a week. After riding the 5th time, about a mile from home I felt it difficult to pedal. Thinking I had a flat I stopped and eventually found the rear tire was so warped, it was hitting the brakes and fender. Luckily after I purchased the bike, I was smart enough to buy a universal tool kit allowing me to remove the brake pads and finish the ride home. Schwinn told me that the replacement will arrive in 3 weeks, I am waiting/hoping. The brake pads are already worn out from 5 rides. I have no expectations with this bike and I am already shopping for a better quality bike through a bicycle shop. The bike also needs a seat extension mount, because being on the tall side, I do not get full leg extension while pedaling. I like the style, but I have lost faith in the Schwinn name.

and that's why I bought this bike, so I could paddle up hills easier. I don't live near the beach, but needed a comfortable bike with gears for my parks and neighborhood. Well the gears aren't worth nothing. I went back to my no speed Ross bike because it was easier to pedal up hill, level ground, and down hill. I took this bike to the shop, and they wanted to charge me big bucks to see what was going on with this hard to pedal bike, so I brought it back home and now it's just sitting in my sun-room collecting dust. The other problems with the bike I can deal with. Yes the rim isn't straight. You need a rim wrench to adjust that. The handlebars and seat are very hard to tighten, but didn't even try to repair that because I can't pedal the darn thing. I think there is a quick fix for tightening the various parts, but I didn't waste my time. That brakes are worthless, but I don't ride fast anyway, so I don't need good brakes... The two good things about the bike is that it look nice new, and it is BIG! Too big for me, but that's nobody's fault but mine. I didn't know handlebar come so wide! I'm only 5'7” and I look like a clown riding a giant BIG wheel bike in the circus...

Rims were a little crooked and the tires are bad but for the price its a good deal you might want to consider trueing the rims though and buying a new set of tires the rubber that holds the tire in the rim shreaded off my bike in a 2 month time but in all its a good sturdy bike !

all the reviews had something to add or take away. Remember it's Walmart, if you don't like it take it back. You always come first . I will keep my bike.

I ordered this online and received it Wednesday 7/29. I put it together in about 2 hours, inlcuding adjusting the linear brakes. This was somewhat of a chore and the caliper was missing an adjustment bolt. I had to go buy and adjustment bolt. Finally, finished assembly, aired up the tire properly, and took it for a spin (about two blocks). Seemed okay, but I needed to tighten the seat. Returned to my garage, got of the bicycle and reached for a wrench, KABOOM. The rear tire exploded destroying the tube and a small section of the tire bead. Three days later I finally found a 29" tube. I hope this bike is worth all the trouble.
