The beloved Ghostbusters films are supernatural comedies that focus on three eccentric parapsychologists in New York City who start a ghost-catching business. But the stories couldn't exist without those wonderfully slimy ghosts - especially the infamous slippery, sloppy Slimer! He's the most famous of the ghosts, and he's back, nasty as ever. Pull his soft tongue and hear him scream louder and louder. Then let go of his tongue and hear him make a ghostly gargling noise. Slimer can stand on his own, and get this: twist his arm, and you'll hear the classic Ray Parker Junior Ghostbusters theme song! Slimer is a ghost, but detailed decos make him look oh-so real and alive. But then, you "ain't afraid of no ghosts"!!

This slimer is a lot of fun! He talks and says many phrases not to mention it plays the ghostbusters song which my kid loves. You can also pull his tounge and he will let out a scream. Its very doable even the tougne. It doesn't need battery replacement to often. I have had it for almost a month and i haven't had to replace the batteries yet. Its a great toy for a kid into ghostbusters. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Since the remake of Ghostbusters, this toy really caught my eye. It filled my heart with nostalgia to see the classic Slimer done in 2016. As soon as I showed this toy to my kids, they instantly fell in love without even knowing the premise of the movie. Since they are young, I feared that the toy would have been too scary but to my surprise this toy is very whimsical for all ages. The sheer quality of this character is seamless to the movie. The tongue and arm action is great for girls and boys alike. Me and my own children debated who would keep it. The sound quality is great. The tongue, when pulled, accelerates duration of sound with how far you extend it. He screams, says a funny line, then slows down to silence. It's a very playful novelty-esque collector piece. Another feature this toy has is when you turn the right arm it plays the theme song to the movie Ghostbusters. It's sturdy, stable and made very well. I was pleasantly surprised by the actual size of the toy. The display it sits on is also very captivating in itself. All in all, I am impressed and I highly recommend and approve. My son has been playing with this toy since he received it. He loves the Ghosbusters song and makes me pull the arm so he can dance. He also likes pulling the tongue so he could hear the scream. He says that it is a good toy and that he likes it a lot. This toy is kids friendly and doesn't have small parts wich is very important. It's made of hard material so for kids younger than 4 it's not a good option. Overall my son finds it fun to play with. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

We are big Ghostbusters fans in this house. Growing up, my brothers had the fire house, proton packs, the ecto 1, you name it, it was here. Now that we have kids of our own it's especially fun to see our kids share the same joy. My son is 5 and he and his same age cousin have the old, 80s style proton packs and one of their favorite things to do is go around the house and catch ghosts. This Slimer figure has popped up in some toy reviews on YouTube that my son watches and he's been asking for it because to him, being able to pull Slimer's tongue is hilarious. When it arrived he helped me open it. The packaging was fairly easy to remove and before long, Slimer was out of the box and wreaking havoc! He was much bigger than I was anticipating. A nice, hard plastic that has already endured a lot of drops and spills to the hardwood floor. There is an on/off switch on the back but it comes pre-set to demo mode so be sure to switch it to on in order to hear all that Slimer can do. I was VERY glad to see an off switch because many toys don't come with one and that was a huge bonus in my book. The batteries are included but when they run out it's as simple as using a Phillips head screwdriver to take the piece off and remove and replace them. So, back to Slimer's tongue. You can pull it out pretty far and the longer you stretch it, the higher pitched his scream becomes. I am concerned about the longevity of this because the kids like to push things to the limit and I'm not sure how long the tongue will stay in or if it will end up being ripped out completely. My son did figure out that he could pull the tongue out and hold it down on Slimer's belly and he would scream that way too. The cool part (to me at least) is that when you bend Slimer's left arm he plays snippets of the Ghostbusters theme song. They range from about 5 to 25 seconds a piece. There's the classic "who you gonna call? Ghostbusters!" and a few other lines. But some snippets are only the music. This is where the off switch comes in handy because sometimes my son just wanted to play with Slimer and move his arms around but not hear the song. The song still plays if you pull the tongue at the same time. So you'll here Slimer yelling, and hear the theme song if you are inclined to do so! My son adores this as he's been playing with it non stop. Slimer has partied with the Avengers and the Justice League, been chased out of a haunted house by Scooby and the gang - he's been a great addition to imaginative play. He doesn't fit into the ghost trap that goes along with the proton pack, but he's still lots of fun! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
