Two months after I bought it a weld broke on the lower saddle shaped part. They sent me a new one but the weld kept breaking in the same spot. They asked me if I was too heavy?!?!? I am 5-7 and 175 lbs LOL. After the third time they admitted this was a problem for others and they were looking into a long term solution but would keep sending me the part until then so I could use the machine. Then the console went bad. It would reset itself to a manual cycle mid way through work outs. They sent another console and same thing. Then they said they had to send me a memory card to re-program the console. The memory card I think was blank because it didn't help. DON"T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY ON THIS!

I purchased this elliptical last winter for use in my home. Given the mixed reviews, my expectations weren't high. Some of the accent cover pieces broke during assembly; the tabs snapped off. Elliptical is sturdy and quiet. It began to squeak shortly after getting it; I tightened the screws on the front base and have had no more problems or noise issues. I use this for 45-60 minutes 5-6 days a week. The varied workout levels are nice and I can feel the difference. I don't use the programmed workouts or Jillian Micheals card; it was too loud with no volume adjustment and I'd rather listen to my iPod. The fan is kind of wimpy but it does help; I use other fans in the room and it's fine. The timer and calorie count resets after 5 minutes of inactivity. My main complaint is that the stride length isn't adjustable; I didn't realize until after I'd purchased that the handlebars are too far away for me to reach comfortably. I reversed the arm poles and that fixed it. My sister's Proform elliptical is much better, but it also cost several hundred dollars more. If you're looking for an affordable home elliptical that gets the job done, this is pretty good, glides smooth as silk. No problems wobbling; I use it on a carpet floor with mats, starting weight 190. All in all meets my expectations; I purchased knowing I wasn't buying a gym-quality machine, good value for the price; but if you can afford more, don't cheap out on this one.

After a couple days, The elliptical produces all kind of noisy sounds. All the screws come loose, so I returned to Walmart to made a refund. forgot to mention I got a problem attached the front stabilizer because of the crews are not line up. I tried to contact Gold's Gym customer service, they just don't know what they are doing.

I got this elliptical sep of 2012. Shortly after using the machine it started loosening up, the speakers were very fuzzy, and the machine as a whole was very squeaky and noisy. I ignored it because I loved working out on it. Tonight one of the whole sides fell of and broke. I am not sure if the warranty covers it. The only reason I will get another one like this is if the company will replace it. If not I will buy a new machine from somewhere else.
