The Guild Starfire VI is a classic semi-hollowbody that has it all—glitz, glamour and gorgeous tone. First released in 1962, the VI has an arched maple top and maple body. A spruce center-block keeps feedback at bay, allowing you to explore the VI's harmonic richness at higher volumes. This is a guitar that demands to be played. A set of LB-1 Little Bucker pickups replicate Guild's smaller ’buckers of the past. They have more jangle and air than traditional humbuckers, and split the difference between single coil and PAF-style tones. The Starfire VI has a unique, three-piece maple/walnut/maple neck and a bound ebony fingerboard inlaid with mother-of-pearl and abalone V-blocks. Additional features include a pinned tune-o-matic bridge with ebony base, 5-ply black and ivory purfling, deluxe f-hole and body binding, and a Guild Vibrato Tailpiece—topped by an adornment of gold hardware. The top-of-the-line Starfire VI has the vintage look, tone, and swagger you can only get from a Guild Starfire. It comes with a Guild hardshell case.
