Got this for the kids for Christmas. They love it. They have been playing constantly since Christmas day. They enjoy rocking out to "Living on a Prayer" and "Eye of the Tiger".
MY SON PURCHASED THIS WITH HIS BIRTHDAY MONEY. HE LOVES IT. HE PLAYS IT ON HIS WII ALL OF THE TIME. HE ACTUALLY GETS UP AND MOVES AROUND A LOT WHILE PLAYING.
Everyone who plays this game has alot of fun.Good for dexterity. Only problem we have encountered is that the guitar has stopped working. But no problem getting a replacement. So the fun doesn't stop.
I really enjoy playing this game. Before I received it, I did not think I would ever get the hang of "Guitar Hero". However, I was wrong! I really caught on quickly, although I'm still at medium level. I wasn't sure if I'd like this because I only knew a handful of songs. Now, I enjoy playing a lot of the ones I previously did not know!
This was supposed to be my daughter's Christmas gift but I'll admit that I'm completely hooked on it. What's really nice about it is that we can both enjoy it because the game is completely adaptable to all skill levels. My daughter and I both started out on the beginner level. There is a tutorial where you can get lessons from a guy with an accent that reminds me a bit of Dracula but he does give you the basics of how to play the instrument. You can choose to play guitar or bass, practice the songs even slow them down or isolate just certain parts until you get them right. When you feel you're ready, to play for an "audience" you can give your character a chance to "earn money" or "get booed off stage". You can design your own character, name your own band and even design their logo. I've graduated to "Easy" and my character has earned close to $4k already playing the bass. My daughter isn't far behind. Unfortunately, we only have one guitar so we can't both play at the same time. However, we have no problem cheering and clapping for each other. I don't think we'll get the drum kit but I'm thinking my daughter might like a microphone. Maybe by this summer, we'll be playing gigs together.... Woo-hoo!
