I just put it in seems like the other Gumout High Mileage products I use. I recommend them.

I am skeptical of most automotive additives and don't use them. However, I did read a couple of articles on cnet.com that extolled the benefits of Gumout High Mileage Fuel System Cleaner and Gumout High Mileage Fuel Injector Cleaner. A month or two later, my high mileage vehicle (175,000) started running so rough that it would stall at a red light. I tried the fuel injection cleaner first because the injectors are usually the most likely suspect. The engine made an obvious improvement before I finished a tankful of gasoline. Then I tried the fuel system cleaner with the next fill-up and got additional improvement. I have turned from skeptic to believer.

My husband and I don't actually have a lot of knowledge about taking care if cars. This Gumout Regane High Mileage Fuel System Cleaner is not complicated to use at all. We just followed the simple directions and we're done. Hubby said that he noticed a smooth driving experience and no engine rattling.

I have an old, high mileage car. It knocks, it pings, the check engine light turns on. This can be a pain in a state where you have to pass emissions every year and you're automatically rejected just because the check engine light is on regardless of the reason (I'm in California). Using this product, the car idles smooth, check engine light stays off and emissions passes with flying colors. Car seems to run smoother too.

My boyfriend put this in my car as it is over 15 years old and has pretty high mileage (167,000 miles). Since it has really only had routine maintenance done on it through the years for the most part, he thought it a good idea, and a good product to use, as the parts definitely could use a good cleaning. I haven't driven it enough yet to do a gas mileage average since putting it in as it doesn't get driven a whole lot any more since my retirement. However, I have noticed that my car does have good pick up when taking off from a stop. There is no engine lag nor bogging down. So far, so good - I'm well pleased!
