Haier 24" 2.0 Cubic Foot Front-Load Washer/ Dryer Combo HLC1700AXW

We have had our washer for over 5 years. Never once have we had to call a repair man.First of all this is not a machine for a family. Secondly this machine is not for people that do their washing once or twice a week. We put the amount of laundry the manual states. Thirdly this is a very very very low energy consumption machine. 110v No venting required. We put our needs in the morning with a splash of vinegar to the laundry soap and when we get home the laundry is perfect every time. Read the instruction before buying and if you are environmentally conscious this is for you.

We stayed at a resort that had this machine. I wanted to try it because we were thinking about buying one. Cons: very small capacity-ours said limit 2 garments. Very long clean time (allow 3 hours). Ours finally shut off at 5.5 hours but door would not unlock. Security had to come to finally unlock. Between capacity and run time, I can't see any savings.

This thing is a total junk. Fail twice with FC error twice in less than a year. Stupid machine I won't even bother having it repaired if my clothes are not locked in it. This locking mechanism is just dumb and ridiculous. How can we not be able to unlock the machine without service? Stupid machine!

This machine has been superb for us. Love that I don't have to remember to move clothes from washer to dryer, it takes care of everything in one go, using half the space of two machines. I've heard of some combo machines not fully drying clothes but not this one! We've had no problems, clothes come out clean and dry. Quiet machine also, and operating cost is very low. Appliance price was reasonable for us also. Would highly recommend.

Looks great, but I used the machine less than ten times and the whole control board needs to be replaced. I looked online and this problem is not uncommon. I'm definitely not happy with this purchase - and I bet issues with these machines are the reason why they have been discontinued.
