I've been wanting a small deep freezer for a while now, and I'm glad I got this one. It's small, but has lots of interior space, and comes with a handy wire basket for smaller items. It was light enough to move on my own, and a snap to set up. It got cold in minutes, and was deep-freeze cold in about an hour. I highly recommend this freezer.

Seldom have I bought an item and had to immediately return it. This happened twice - the original unit arrived damaged - damaged by the mfg - but packaged anyway. Then the replacement unit was mishandled by the shipper - unable to follow handling instructions. so the 2nd unit is returned. Thus be careful buying a delicate item being handled by a common carrier. This issue is still in process of returning and refunding - not complete. Sams was prompt to process a resolution.

This is my first freezer so I can't compare it to others. It does what it is supposed to do. It does it quietly and quickly. as for the durability....time will tell but it seems to be built reasonably well and the top fits tightly and seals well. If I have a complaint so far, it is a trivial one. There is no light in the unit so if it's not daytime, I have to have a flashlight to search through. I feel it's a very good product for a two person family. It was great to have it show up at my front door....can't beat that with a stick

The price was right. I paid $160 with free shipping, Good. Seen same freezer at Sears site, for $250 & $80 shipping, wow. Unfortunately it came damaged. The lower front right corner (by temperature control & compressor) was badly buckled & split (either dropped or rammed with fork lift blade. Since it was not close to cooling coils I plugged it in for 3 days & ran very well. I need a freezer badly & where I put it in the kitchen you can't see the damage. There is nothing to protect the freezer from damage, badly packed, packed is an exaggeration. SSSoooooooooo, any way. If it was not for the damage its a great freezer, at medium setting the temp stayed at 8 degrees. looks sharp & the price by far is a great deal. I've read others have had received theirs damaged. You can take a chance on shipping and hope for the best. Did not contact anyone about this, I'm keeping it. On the ratings and all I would have given it top billing all across the board if it was not for damage!

I have given this unit top points but won't know durability until later down the line. The freezer had evidently had pretty rough handling during shipment as the packaging was pretty torn and it had been dropped at some point. The front right corner on the bottom is bent up. However, this isn't interfering with the operation of the unit and I have put a riser under that corner to keep it from rocking. Felt it was more trouble to return the unit than live with a bent corner. It is set on #4 and gives me a temperature of minus 3 degrees. Good product for the money.
