Haier Ge® 18,600 Btu Smart Electronic Wndw Air

Amazing ECO. We had ours professionally installed in the WALL, replacement for a huge Emerson that cost 3x as much over 40 years ago and the APP and everything works great. In the wall, just make sure you have it professionally installed by a HVAC guy. The hardest part was getting a cover to cover the back of it for the Fall and Winter. The APP was only difficult when it latched on to my neighbor's GE stove. Customer technical service was off time and best (must be 24/7), and they showed me how to hold down the WIFI button. I could not see that in the instructions, not just a one push. I can be in Taiwan and can put it on any setting by just a click as long as the Internet WIFI is on at your home. That means saving energy with ECO and be 100's of miles away and putting on your air before you come home while you drive and that is what I do. That doubles in two ways to help with your security alarm system, people think someone is home if they see the air running, though it will go on and off with ECO also saving you on electric bills. Ever go to work and remember you forgot to put the air off? We bought it at Home Depot. Lowe's had no people available and put their air conditioners on the highest shelf and treated us very badly, so we traveled a little further to the HD in Johnston, RI on top of the big mountain near the giant BJ's. If you are in RI, the HD store is huge as well and they have it well staffed.

This is my third one. So far I've been at my house for 25 years. Actually my last one is a 14,000 BTU. It still works a little noisy but I had it for years. Extremely pleased with the 18,300 BTU comes with really nice mounts. Adjustable mounts actually to put in the window to stabilize it. Absolutely 5 stars

Needed an AC unit for my home that does not have a whole house AC. This unit works well to cool a large living area that receives direct sunlight for the majority of summer days. My only complaint is the noise level of the unit. It is loud. Turn up the tv to hear the tv, type of loud.

Purchased this for my grandmother to keep her cool and exactly 12 months and a week, it stopped working. The plug has the green indicator that's lit but the unit won't come on. Called to see if the retailer can recommend someone to look at it, their response was unless it was in its 12-month warranty, that we're on our own, even if its a week past the warranty expiration. With the crazy summer heat, for this unit to stop was enough to not trust the GE Brand as a dependable appliance brand my grandmother once trusted.

Warranty is for 12 months. Ar exactly 13 months half the touch panel no longer responds and now it randomly cycles through setting on its on. Even running through all the setting continuously until you unplug it and then it may stay on one setting fir a while or may continuously cycle. This is absolutely garbage.
