I bought this cover to serve as a dust cover while storing my Four Winns 190 Freedom inside my garage. It is just what I was looking for, a lightweight cover that is easy to install and remove, and covers my boat completely. I wouldn't recommend this cover if you are looking to use it outside all the time or for trailering.
I am very pleased with this cover. I have had many boat covers over the years. For storage protection this has been the best. It is light weight, Waterproof and strong enough for storage coverage. I have a 22' boat and the cover has enough size to allow for a PVC frame underneath to support the cover for rain and snow. At $40 it is a great value for protecting your boat during storage. I have paid $100 for a storage cover that has not been as good as this one. For towing, it would probably be OK for around town 30 to 40 MPH. I am not sure how it would hold up at highway speeds. I have had even canvas covers come apart on the highway. I still have my $400 custom cover for trailering.
Absolutely the best boat cover I have ever purchased. However, you must use it within it's guidelines. It says trailerable but I would not use it while trailering my boat. It would not support snowfall. With that said, I have used the expensive canvas and semi custom (aka "big bucks") covers. They all sunrot and get mold growth within a year. This cover is light and allows my boat to breathe, it does not trap moisture under the cover. It sheds rain water and keeps the UV rays out. I buy one about every two to three years and keep an extra on hand. I store my boat outside under this cover and have done so for five years. My boat still smells and looks brand new. Highly recommended, purchase one for use and keep an extra on hand.
This cover was inexpensive and I wonder if it will hold up over the years; the fabric is thin. BUT, so far I am happy with it. It fit good, just like the instructions and pictures indicated. Nothing on it looked cheap. The silver fabric should reflect the sun's heat. I'm hoping this is good for the boat.
bought this cover for a boat in a covered dock on a lift. This is by no means a cover for open areas or trailering, but in the above application it has lasted 5 years. Would have lasted longer but the geese decided to lay eggs on the cover and it ripped. Getting another one soon.
