This product is not intended to kill adult fleas. I don't think most of the reviewers on here realized that. It's meant to kill flea eggs and their larvae to stop the life cycle which will eventually lead you to be flea free. My cats fleas have definitely been reduced since I started this product. It's been almost 2 weeks now since his first application and I have noticed pretty positive results.

I bought a Seresto collar for about $60. The cat lost the collar just a few days later and the fleas reappeared soon after that. So, I opted to try a cheaper treatment. This stuff only cost me about $5 and after two days the fleas were gone. Like similar treatments, it does leave a greasy spot, which seems to bother my cat as he's constantly trying to reach the area with his mouth to lick it off. (So make sure you put it at the back of the neck where he can't reach!). Other than that, it works just as all drop treatments do. It does not prevent fleas from getting on your pet but it will kill them after they bite. The treatment works through the animal's bloodstream, killing the flea only after it has had a taste of your little furry friend's blood. So, when he comes home after spending the day/night out, he will likely have fleas on him. But they will fall off dead after the first bite. This is how all drop treatments work! Don't be fooled by products that claim to repel fleas. For that, you would have to use a traditional insect repellent which your animal friend will hate. And if you put it on your cat, he'll simply lick it off, possibly poisoning himself in the process.

Now not only do we need to treat the pets for fleas again, we've got to treat the whole house. That means cleaning carpet, furniture, bedding. All of it. It is worth the extra money for the vet endorsed product. Do yourself a favor and do it right the first time. #frontline #comfortis
