[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The packing and quality of the game is great. Looks like it'll last over the years and not cheaply made. That being said this genre isn't my favorite so the game was alright but not what my family would usually play. I'm sure people who like this genre more would enjoy it. It does take at least 3 people to play so be aware that it's best for game night with friends or other adult family.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Betrayal at House on the Hill is a fun and engaging game with a wonderfully spooky atmosphere and fantastic artwork. The concept of exploring a haunted mansion that changes each game is creative and keeps things interesting. The illustrations and overall design really help bring the game to life. That said, the game can be a bit confusing at times. The directions could be worded more clearly, especially for new players. Also, while the idea of having dozens of different haunts is cool in theory, in practice, some of them feel unbalanced—either the traitor is way too strong or don't stand a chance. Fewer, better-developed haunts would go a long way toward improving the overall experience. Despite these issues, it's still a fun game that's great for a group looking for a story-driven experience with a spooky twist.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a wonderful game for entertainment on stay in nights with friends and family! Great for the value for money as there are 50 different scenarios to play with. Very high quality, I was surprised by the thickness of cards and figures provided. Durable to last a long time. Packaging itself is basic as it is for all games!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just played Betrayal at House on the Hill (3rd Edition) and it was such a fun ride. The game starts off cooperative as you explore this creepy old mansion together, uncovering rooms and strange events—and then suddenly, one of you becomes the traitor and everything flips. It felt super immersive and dramatic, like being dropped into a horror movie with your friends. What I loved most was how every game is different because of the variety of “haunts” that can happen. The twist when the betrayal happens is honestly my favorite part. It's chaotic in the best way. Also, this 3rd edition looks great and feels a bit more streamlined than the older one. Highly recommend if you like a mix of strategy, suspense, and a little bit of betrayal (in a fun way, of course).
great fun game
