Turn can over onto microwaveable dish, open other end and press out. Cover with a microwaveable bowl before cooking. Steam Cooking: Place can in a large saucepan containing sufficient boiling water for can to float, at least 2-1/2 pints. Boil gently for 35 minutes. Never allow saucepan to boil dry! Add more water as necessary. To Open: To prevent spurting, hold cloth over can opener when removing can top marked open this end first. Run a knife around the inside of the can. Turn can over onto a plate, open other end and press out. All appliances vary. The following are guidelines only. Adjust times for your particular microwave.
