Hello Hobby Chalk Acrylic Paint, Ultra Matte, Ruby, 2 fl oz #40478

This chalk paint is sort of a joke. I think walmart switched to this brand from Waverly and I dont know why? I had to use a minimum 3 coats of this to get even coverage, and even then, there were spots that I had to go back over. When compared to other craft chalk paints, this one is very watery and if you're looking for anything close to full coverage, the process will be time consuming. I gave it 2 stars because once everything was said and done, the finished products looks good and it's non-toxic. But I'm returning the bottles I didn't use and will not be purchasing this brand in the future.

I bought it because Walmart quit carrying Waverly. There is no comparison. Waverly covered well and dried flat. This Hello Hobby brand doesn't cover and dries slightly bumpy. maybe it's just the white but the other colors won't even get a chance now. Seriously disappointed.

This chalk paint is pretty. The color is the same as on the bottle. It goes on smooth and you don't need more than two coats. Can use for multiple types of surfaces. Good amount of paint in the jar will last for a while if doing several small projects.

Hello Hobby Chalk Acrylic Paint, Ultra Matte, Blush Was very fun to use! I used this on a small part of my kids wall near her desk and she loves it. It wasn't lumpy or smelly. My daughter is painting some wood pieces now for her new diy shelf. Would definitely recommend we've bought 2 more so far just for smaller accessories for her wall decorations

I really love the color of this. Used it to restore an old unfinished craft table. It had some crayon and marker on it and we wiped it and lightly sanded it. We painted it once and it was still a bit lighter than we wanted. With a light second coat, it was perfect. The paint was hot upon arrival due the weather so we waited until it came to room temperature before use. Worked well with basic paint brushes. Would recommend.
