I love the way it works, when it works. Unfortunately they do not last! Once the year warranty expires it doesn't work. Cannot be repaired! I'm on # 2, it doesn't work after 1 year and 2 months. I did not use it that often and always used distilled water. Sick of buying a new one every year!

I got this steamer for lightening the load of work that I have to do for ironing my shirt. As other reviewers have pointed out, it's a great product to get rid of wrinkle and smell in a very short time for a small price. I would highly recommend if you have to do a lot of ironing.

This steamer is great! I had a Rowenta that the motor burnt out in after 13 months yes, just over the warranty time. I paid 3 times as much for the Rowenta and this steamer performs as good or better than the Rowenta. Rowenta offered me a measly $20 to purchase another Rowenta. I am glad I got the HoMedics, I will certainly take a look at other HoMedics products in the future.

Think twice before you purchase this product. The auto shut-off goes off within 30 seconds, and pressing the reset button doesn't turn it back on, so you have to wait a while, then hit the button, only to get another 15 seconds of steam. The first one--I thought it was defective, because the manual says this feature is for safety when the tank is empty. So I exchanged it and whaddaya know? Same problem!! When it actually is steaming, it works great, but you're lucky to get 30 seconds of continuous usage at 60 second intervals. I am so disappointed!!

This steamer worked well the first time we tried it. We shut it off and a few days later we wanted to use it again and it just wouldn't work. We tried all troubleshooting and nothing helped. We originally read the reviews on the product and it sounded great. Maybe we just got a lemon. I am going to return it and try something else.
