SoundSpa Premier SS-5000 Clock Radio

The product worked great for the first two weeks. Then after about day 15 it completely stopped working. The display read all 8's and nothing worked even the power buttons. We had to ship it back to the manufacturer, at our own expense and it should come back to us within 4-6 weeks. This really stinks for me because now my newborn is waking up my two year old every night and it takes forever to get the two year old back to bed.

A hotel I stayed at had an older model of this clock. It was so cool that I wanted one for my daughter. She loves it. The only drawback is that her room is positioned in a way that she cannot connect with the Atomic Clock for automatic resets, but we just put batteries in there and set it ourselves. Very good product with nice sounds and extras.

From the very first time we used this product, only one of the sounds worked and there are six nature sounds on there. Otherwise, it seems to be a good product. We were disappointed it happened and will be replacing the product. It would be nice if the products were checked for performance before being shipped.

The atomic clock feature is a pain in the neck. It resets the clock in the middle of the night, even when you have the feature turned off! So what's the point of an on off switch? There are WAY too many buttons on the thing and they're in awkward places. Trying to turn off the alarm while half asleep you end up changing some other setting because the button is on the BACK of the clock located between two other buttons that are all way too close together. There are half a dozen buttons across the bottom front, there are half a dozen or so across the top, one on either side and about a half dozen more on the back of the clock. The sound quality is quite poor. If you turn up the volume not only do you get to hear the sounds of thunder, but you also get hissing and static to go with it! The sounds are also noticeably looped. The backlight is way too bright, so is the projection light. Even with the backlight on low you can read a book by it. My husband gave me this clock as a gift. He was just as irritated by it was I was. It was returned after a week. Went back to my tried and true 20-year-old clock.

I have had the clock for approximately 2 1/2 wks. The past two nights the time changed back one hour and the alarm didn't go off on time because of it and we overslept. Also, the outside time only displays occasionally. Will be taking back to store today.
