SoundSpa SS-6500 Clock Radio for iPod

my daughter loves changing out the front color plates and having a new look. It will not charge the newest iPods, but they will connect to the top and play on it. A little disappointed about that, but not enough to send it back. The display is very bright, even on dim it lights up her whole room. It can be turned off, but then you can't see the time. It is easy to find the dimmer switch even in the dark. She has only used it a few days, but overall she likes it very much.

I had just purchased an Itouch, and was looking for a charger/clock for it. This particular model caught my eye, but when I received it, I found out that you cannot charge the Itouch on it. Mine is a second generation Itouch, but I don't know if that matters. Nothing in the advertising that I saw said it would not work with the Itouch. It should state specifically what IPods that it works on.

I was looking to replace a standard alarm clock, and this one seemed to fit my needs. Pros: - Great sound, looks good, good value - Dual Alarms are nice - Connecting and using iPod super easy - The soothing sounds are really nice, too. Cons: - The blue light from the clock is BRIGHT, but it can be turned off. The blue also seems to be the new thing in clocks like this, so it may be unavoidable. - The buttons 'click' very loudly. Not a huge deal, but, for example, my husband gets up first and turns off the second alarm. The buttons click so loud when pressed that it wakes me up anyway. - This is just something that bugged me, but it wouldn't stop me from buying another... The dual alarms have to be set on the same thing. So you can't set the first one to the soothing sounds, and the second to the iPod, for example. Both have to be set to the iPod, or the sounds, or the radio, etc. Overall I think it was a great purchase and would recommend to anyone!

We purchased the latest Ipod Nano and this alarm clock to go with it for our daughter's birthday. We purchased the alarm clock largely because it stated that it charged the Ipod devices, although our daughter thought the changable colored faceplates were fabulous. After we set the alarm clock up, we could doc the Ipod and play music, but kept getting an error message saying that it didn't support our device to charge it. I emailed HoMedics to inquire, since the product specifically said it was made for Ipod. They responded that this device was made before the newest Ipods and that "the specifications have been changed on these newer iPod products, so HoMedics iSoundSpa may play these iPods, but will not charge them." We kept the alarm clock because my daughter was enamored with the changable face plates (that's the only reason I gave my review 2 stars for meets expectations). We, however, were very disappointed.

I bought this for my daughter and was a little skeptical after reading some of the reviews. I am really glad we ordered it. My daughter loves it. She really likes being able to set her alarm to her favorite song on her ipod and she goes to sleep with the nature sounds. The nature sounds are very good compared to similar product that my parents own. For the price it is very good and easy to operate. Of course it isn't like an expesive Boze, but it is better than I expected for the price.
