Honey Stinger Organic Energy Waffles, Strawberry Flavored , 16 Ct

It was really nice to have a box of these in the van at Badwater 135 this year. This was my go to while crewing! Also my runner used them late in the race when nothing else sounded good. I pulled one of these out and he continued to ask for them after that. Great product for long runs and easy to digest.

The O.G. Honey Stinger waffle, and it's still a favorite for good reason. The taste is delicious, as is the consistency when they are fresh, as long as they haven't been battered around in a pocket or bag for too long. Must handle with a bit of care or they become a crumbly mess in a hurry. Other small knock is it is difficult to open the packaging in a way to cleanly pull the waffle out, with ripping into part of the waffle as you tear the package. Perhaps the edge of the package needs a full-length seration or other method to make the very edge of the package tear, instead of it wanting to just nip off the corner, or tearing all the way across the face. Small quibble, but when you eat as many of these as I do, and sometimes indoors when on the trainer, it's not making a mess of crumbs everywhere.

Decided to try the new flavor in the lineup...I liked it! Waffles are always a nice treat during an activity to take a break from gels. They aren't "heavy" and never cause any stomach issues, even during runs. Over 10 years in the Hive! Thanks for the support Honey Stinger!!

The first time I ever bonked on a long bike ride (ran out of energy), my legs just stopped working on an uphill climb and I came to a stop. Someone gave me a Honey Stinger waffle and told me to eat it and wait 10 minutes. Sure enough, I felt way better and was able to ride home no problem. Years later I'm getting ready to ride 300 miles and I'm packing Honey Stingers!

These waffles I received were very crumbly especially compared to the other waffles. It makes for a very messy eating experience. Not sure if this is normal or I got a bad batch. I would like more chocolate taste. These are my least favorite waffles.
