I love not having to take a tank off this unit to fill it with tap water. Just carry a milk jug with water toi the unit and pore it right into the top of the unit. It even tells you when it needs water by making noise. This was the first unit we ever had that could get the house to the 40% humidity level. Time will tell if its performance lasts but it has been doing a good job for several weeks now.

I thought that it might be quieter. When full it will not work for 48 hours, it will need more water.

I tried this for a few day but it was much too noisy at bedtime. I returned it for a Graco Cool Mist which has a quite speed for bedtime.

I purchased this item on February 12, 2012 to replace a different humidifier from a different company. It did seem to work very well when I first brought it home. I used it for less than two months, cleaned it and packed it away. When I got it out this year, about 3 weeks ago, it started off working very well. Then today I noticed no water was flowing through the top tube. I cleaned the pump parts and it still didn't work. I called the company and they are sending out another pump to replace the old one. I'm happy they are willing to send a free replacement pump but honestly, I've only gotten about 3 months of use out of it and it is broken already? I will see how things work out when I get the new pump but, at this point, I'm thinking of switching back to a competitor brand. It also isn't as whisper quiet as they say it is. I don't mind a little background noise from a humidifier if it is of good quality and lasts. My other humidifier lasted 3-5 years! Also, in the section where they ask how often you use the appliance I choose everyday. Keep in mind that is only through the months of January thru March. Once winter ends the humidifier gets packed up and put away for the year.
