Honeywell Quietset 16" Whole Room Stand 5-Speed Fan, Model #HS-1665, White with Remote

Great for a small bedroom. I think this is too low powered for a living room--not enough air flow even on the highest setting. For the living room, maybe a larger fan would be better. The lowest setting is quiet and suitable for sleep. The fan beeps each time you turn it on or off and changing fan speed settings. It is really loud, so I removed (desoldered) the beeper. Timer works as it should. Unsure of reliability since I've only had this for a couple months, but so far so good. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I really love the different speeds of this fan and how quiet it can be. The remote is terrific so I don't have to get out of bed to turn it up or down. The only complaint I have is that I bought this one to replace the first one I bought because the motor in it went out a couple weeks after the warranty ended! This time I bought the extended warranty from Walmart because I really love this fan!

Needed an additional fan because my other Honeywell standing fan with remote was starting to quit when it wanted to. I have had that one for about 10 years, so I wanted another Honeywell, with a remote because I have it on at night. It is pretty quite, has different settings and if you need to sleep with some "white noise" this will do it. I love the remote, although it looks cheap, not like the one I had before. But overall am happy with it so far.

The unit was easy to assemble....I was a little put off by the 'play' in the pedestal. However, the fan is very quiet and my wife likes the off/on button compared to the rotating switch on our old unit. For the money you get a remote control, timed sequences and a quiet fan.

At first I bought the Galaxy 16" fan, but it too loud even at low speed and pushed out low air. So return it and get the Honeywell 16" it very different. It very quiet at low speed and have a lot of air push out from this fan. So it a great buy, cost more than the other one.
