Hoover WindTunnel S3755 - Vacuum cleaner - canister - bagless - silver/black

We have had this unit for over 2 years and it has been a lifesaver. If I'm going to put forth the effort to vacuum, I want my vacuum cleaner to work as hard as I do, and this one does. But beware, because the first time you use this unit you are going to gasp at the amount of dirt your old unit has been leaving behind. A bagless unit has so many advantages. You can clean the dust cup and filter (I blow mine out with an air compressor) before each use to ensure maximum performance without the cost of bags. We have easily saved hundreds of dollars on bags, because like I said, I want MAXIMUM PERFORMANCE every time I vacuum. That in and of itself is enough reason to buy this cleaner. The HEPA filter does a wonderful job. The suction is remarkable. The unit is lightweight and won't tire you out. As for reliability, we have had zero problems with this unit. We have cats in the house. If you're looking for something to rid your living space of pet hair and dander, this unit will do the trick with ease! It's not weighed down with unneeded attachments. Just pop on the small head for spaces the power nozzle will not fit into and BOOM! Put on the crevice tool and get those baseboards and around furniture legs. BOOM! Trust me, you are not going to believe that such a small unit could remove so much dirt! Just be sure and keep an eye on that dust cup, because this baby will fill it up with a quickness. Remove it, empty it, and BAM, you're back to a quick job done right!

I have a cleaning business and purchased this product for a customer who has a house full of wood and tile floors. I want to like this vac. It's very good on carpets. But useless on floors. I was surprised that Consumer Reports rated it as working well on floors. I had to sweep after using it, sweep corners also, and ended up sweeping the uneven tile floors with a broom and foregoing the vacuum altogether. I've used dinky canister vacuums with floor attachments that work much better in terms of suction and picking up dirt; likely because the shape of the attachment allows for maximum suction. By including such an atttachment rather than combining it with the vacuum head, Hoover could have had a much better performing machine. I'm surprised that the people at Hoover didn't do that, because they generally design very good vacuums. This one is going back to the store. Sorry.

Prior to purchasing this Hoover canister, I have owned two Sears Kenmore high-end canisters since 1991, which I have always kept under warranty. These extended warranties added up to quite a bit over the years, but every year, at least once, I was always needing some sort of service, for which I was never charged. I finally decided not to renew my warranty this summer, and, of course, something went wrong, as it always does. I really wanted something other than a Kenmore, because I knew all of its weaknesses and there never seemed to be any product improvement in the 18 years I had owned one. I visited various local stores in order to see what canisters were available. I also went online to see what was available and to read reviews. However, I would not have bought one I couldn't have tried out locally. I use my canister several times daily in my pet birds' room and it was vital that it be user friendly and not too noisy. The one in the local Walmart store caught my eye because it had the features I required as well as being bagless, which was new to me. I read reviews online and decided to go back to the store to see if I could try it out. It was up on the second shelf with a cable tie so I had to find someone to cut it loose so I could look at it. I had brought one of my Kenmore attachments to see if it would fit, because I noticed the canisters I was looking at did not come w/as many attachments as my old Kenmore and it was important that the Kenmore attachments fit my new canister. Found an employee who cut it loose and then we carried it to where we could plug it in and I could try it out, which was a MUST for me. It was quiet, I liked the features and my attachment fit - a WINNER! However, I needed to find a local service center or it would not have been worth purchasing. I found one not too far away. So, since I had noticed this earlier online where it was $10 cheaper than in the store, I ordered it and less than 24 hours later, to my amazement, it was at my door. I really like the suction control, which I didn't know existed because that feature was not on my Kenmore. The carry handle is a terrific feature along w/the washable filters. The power nozzle is a great feature, too. The cord seems to be a couple of feet shorter than the Kenmore, and that is the only drawback. However, I am delighted w/this canister, its look and features, the price and the speed at which it arrived. p.s. My parakeet likes it too, because she used to sing when I vacuumed w/the Kenmore, and she sings w/the Hoover, too!

I can find only one problem with the vacuum. And that is it needs an attachment for bare floors only that is smaller and lighter than the original sweeper head. Otherwise it is an excellent vacuum. I have no carpet or rugs in my house due to allergies, that is why I wanted one with an hepa filter.
