Hopkins FloTool 11837 10 Quart Oil Drain Pan

This oil drain pan performs poorly in many ways. The screen that covers the opening does not stay in place. It will catch the drain plug, but if you let the oil filter drop on it, the screen will pivot and allow the filter to drop into the container and splash oil over the sides. The threads on the large top cover and the side spout covers don't match up with the pan body, so threading is difficult at best. Even if threaded correctly, the seal is not very good. The side handles are difficult to grab and hold, especially with oily hands or gloves. After two oil changes, I have decided this drain pan is worse than useless.

The good: Made in USA The bad: Embarrassment to the term: "Made in USA" The side spout doesn't seal. When you tighten the cap, it clicks, then keeps going. I drained 6.5 quarts of oil from my car, and now have a nice puddle of oil in my garage. This is a total piece of junk.

First problem is that the screen is so flimsy, if your oil pan plug drops onto the screen (what it is made for, to catch the plug), the screen falls into the container, leaving you fishing for your plug. Second problem is that the drain cap leaks, so when you are storing it or transporting it, well you know what a mess you will have. This product should be pulled from shelves everywhere!

Doesn't work as advertised. Leaks horribly. I ended up with used oil all over my driveway. The drain plug on the pan does not seal and comes off almost by itself. I didn't need this to drain oil directly onto my driveway. DO NOT BUY IT !!!!!

I bought this in store so I sadly missed the reviews. I changed my oil on Sunday evening and couldn't take the oil to the recycling center. Imagine, to my surprise, when I went into the garage on Monday morning that I had about 2 quarts of oil that had leaked out of this piece of garbage container. I don't know why Walmart would continue to sell a product that is this bad. I will not be shopping at Walmart again as I can't trust that they have the consumer's best interest at heart when almost every review for this product online is horrible, yet they continue to sell it online and in store.
