Horizontal Refuse Storage Shed

Well made but damaged in route. Too was broken Does not fit my trash cans which was the resin for the purchase Guess I should have measured first but the picture is deceiving

The first impression was wow, beautiful wood. However there was no information about what could be put on it as we love the wood but it stood out too much so, we but a transparent waterproof stain on it (should have done this before putting it together. The hardware is sub par latch broke the second day and the piston hing that holds up the top also failed after just a few uses. Can trust it to hold up lid so I had to add a safety that can manually be put in place to hold lid. Like the hood of a car.

Went together easily. All parts included. Beware when ordering that the tall wheeled trash cans will not fit under the front cross bar. I had to build a 6"" base out of cedar to allow the tall cans to fit. So far so good otherwise.

I purchased this product from looking at the picture with 2 trash cans. After I received my trash can was to large and to short. I will do some measuring next time. My bad!

I was excited when I found this storage shed. I measured my 2 trash bins.. These are trash bins that the truck picks up and dumps as part of the curbside trash service. (Probably same type of service most people use). When I measured it was a close fit but I felt like it would be fine. I mean the picture shows 2 bins (very similar to mine) and a small trash can. My son and I put it together while my husband was out of town. I was so excited .....untiI I tried to put the first can in the shed. I realized that the depth was not deep enough. I measured at the lid of the bin, my trash bins have a lip further down where the automatic lift on the trash truck inserts to pick them up and dump them. That lip stuck out about 2 inches too wide so the doors would not shut. Then the height was a problem because the little wood piece that the magnetic strips goes on hung down just enough to catch the top the can and stop it from going in. Now I could turn one can bin side ways and manage to jam and twist it enough that it would fit but no way were both bins going to fit. I was so frustrated I waited 2 days to even mention it to my husband. Good news after $50.00 in material my husband has rebuilt the shed so my trahs bins now fit but I would not recommend this for someone that isn't a little handy with tools. I would recommend that the company make this just a little larger to accomodate bins that are lifted by the trash truck not by a person riding on the back of the truck.
